Our school is located In Kosice-South housing-estate area of Zelezniky.
It was established in 1972 and now 501 pupils attend our schol. There are
39 teachers and 15 employees of the administration department.
The management consists of a headteacher, two deputy.headteachers and one
deputy of administration and economy.
The school is divided into two levels. There are 160 pupils aged 6-10 at
the first level and 341 pupils aged 11-15 at the second level. Our students
leave school for secondary education at the age of 15.
Three of the classes are specialized in football. Training sessions are included
in their school timetables. Our football teams have achieved a great number
of successful results in domestic as well as international matches. There
are also pupils that are involved in a table-tennis club, dance club and
of course our floorball teams are one of the best in our country. We have
teachers and students that play for our national floorball team. This sport
become very popular 3 years ago when our club was established.
The school has two very well-equipped computer classrooms where our students
gain their computer skills and later they are able to use them also in other
school subjects. There are also specialized classrooms for different subjects,
for instance: Science, Art and Craft, Technology, History, Geography and
of course English language. We have been involved in many projects and teleprojects
for many years and have made lots of friends abroad.
