Teachers from all the partner schools met in Ilomantsi to prepare for the 3rd Year of the project. We hope our application will be successful.

We discussed some exciting new activities for the remaining period of this year and for the final year. Pupils in all the schools will help to produce a book about games that they play. We will also make pages for an international calendar.

Meetings were also arranged in Kosice in Slovakia, Rönnäng in Sweden and in Ilomantsi in Finland. We hope there will be opportunities for pupils to travel to the meetings in Finland and Sweden.

The teachers visited the Easternmost point of the European Union close to the border with Russia.	The Spanish headteacher helped the children in their maths lesson.
Winter sports in Finland are very different to some of our sports. Here the skating rink is being swept clear of snow. The children can use this during and after school.	The teachers also visited the museum to learn about the history and culture of the area around Ilomantsi.
