News from Pogosta School, Ilomantsi - September 2006

 

We started school in four different places: Secondary School called Parppei School, the sport hall and an old school. The pre-school classes and year 1 and 2 are on the other side of the Pogosta school playground. Anyway, we had our sports day as usual in September. Everybody took part in three competitions or walked a couple of kilometres.
The options were shot put, long jump, throwing the ball and running 60 or 600 metres.
Here are some pictures of the event and the winning ceremony.

The 60 metre race The prizes were given by the head teacher Mrs Rauni Kolehmainen and the deputy head teacher Mrs Kaisu Saari.
There was also a kyykkä tournament of all primary schools in Ilomantsi. Pogosta School won the cup for the second time.
