The School Olympics
On 13th March the School Olympics for classes I – III was held in our school gym. Although it was late afternoon, the school gym was filled with pupils and their parents. It was difficult to find the seat or spare room, even on the gym balcony. After the opening ceremony and taking the Olympic Oath, the rules of the Fair Play Code were reminded. Then all the competitors took part in the warm up carried by their older school mate, Natalia. Next the row races started. The  children at the same age level competed with each other in row races, completing four different tasks that were assessed and scored by referees. The results achieved in separate tasks were added to give the final result for the classes at each age level.
During  the break all the children sang our Comenius Project song „Hello Friends”.
Before the final result was announced, the children’s parents joined the sport event too. Divided into teams, they competed in some additional row races. The crowd of children cheered their relatives.
All the participants were awarded with sweets, the classes with diplomas, while the best teams with games. The best were Ia, IIb, and IIIa. The organisation of the sport event, carried by our school PE teachers, was perfect.
It was one of the Comenius Project tasks that we had planned for the youngest children at our school. It was filmed to share with partners in the Project.

Championship for Primary Schools in Basketball

In March our school teams of boys and girls played in semi final matches in mini basketball. The girls played against 199PS, 149PS and 122PS and reached the third positon. The boys played against 26PS, 33PS and 122PS and won all the matches, so were qualified for the final tournament. In the final tournament they played fiercely against 199PS, 149PS and 173PS and won all the matches again . In this way our school team of boys  became the winner of the whole event, the Championship for Primary Schools in Basketball in our city Łódź . Very, very happy  with gold medals, a cup and diploma, they returned to school.
As the winners of Łódź  they will be playing in  the next, district stage against other towns.

Last minute !!!

On 31st March the team of boys played against two other towns, Kutno and Drzewice in the semi final matches of the whole district and won. In April they will play for the FINAL of the whole district
