Tournament of Games

As in the previous school-year, our PE teachers have been organizing the tournament of games called ‘5 Million Cup Competition’. In this tournament  pupils from different schools compete in row races that test their physical abilities and speed. Each school is represented by a group of 36 girls and boys at three age categories 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12. They compete in row rely races, completing different tasks that are assessed  and scored by judges. The results achieved by each age group are added to give the final result for the whole school. Seven primary schools from our district Baluty decided to take part in the Tournament this year. They had been divided into two groups and one of them, consisting of three primary schools (116 PS, 24 PS and ours )  competed with each other in our school gym, on 17th March.  Our school team achieved 32 points, while two others 20 points each. In this way our school was qualified for the next part, semifinal tournament that will be held in the next months.

Girls’ Volleyball Tournament

In the last days of March two school teams of our girls played in another Girls’ Volleyball Tournament. Altogether 17 primary school teams competed in the Tournament. The teams had been divided into five groups and in the first day of the Tournament the teams played inside the groups. Only the winner in each of the group could be qualified for the further matches. One of our teams was second in their group but the second one was first and then was qualified for the next part of the Tournament. On the second day the team played with three others and winning all of them achieved the first position, a cup and gold medals.  It was a big success both for our girls and for the PE teacher.
