News From Szkola Podstawowa Nr 71 - February 2006
| In February both boys and girls from our school played
basketball matches as a part of School Championships. The boys from the
school team played against two other schools, while the girls against
four ones. Our teams won all the matches in their groups and were promoted
to semifinal. Contestans were born in 1993 or later. Each team consisted of 10-12 players. All the matches were played according to the rules of the Polish Basketball Association. The matches were watched by girls and boys, who were very enthusiastic about of what they could see. Here are some of their comments: ‘Our players were fantastic. I was sure they would win!’ ‘The boys’ matches were very interesting. In my opinion our team was the best of all. The judge was very kind and fair to everybody, so nobody bore a grievance.’ ‘The basketball matches were excellent. Our school was leading and won.’ ‘I think that you could learn a lot while watching the matches. The basketball week was FANTASTIC ! |
