TABLE TENNIS

Playing table tennis in breaks is one of the most favourite activities of our pupils. The table is situated in the hall on the second floor. Next to it on the wall there is a detailed schedule that provides information which classes and when can use the table. Any class want to miss their turn. Table tennis fans felt really sad and disappointed when occured that the table has been damaged and a new one is necessary. To get part of the money and shorten the time of waiting our pupils proposed an original way for collecting some ‘cash’. The idea was to sell photos of well known characters from children’s books with the faces of pupils. One of the teachers, Miss Margarette Pankow painted two huge figures and cut out wholes for children’s faces. Miss Ann Grzelaska took 78 photos altogether. In this way our pupils collected thirty per cent of needed sum of money. The new table arrived at school in the first days of December.

UNIHOCKEY

In November and December thirty unihockey teams from primary shools in Lodz competed with each others in School Championships. They were divided into eight groups. In each group teams played with all the others. The winners of each group qualified semi finals. There were four schools in our group and we won with them so we qualified the semifinal matches. The eight school teams were divided into two groups then. The best in semifinal matches competed for the trophies in the final of Lodz. Our team won the first place in the semifinal and the third place in the final of Lodz
