RAÚL GONZÁLEZ

Raúl is a very famous football player for Real Madrid.

He was born on June 27th 1977 in Madrid.

The young athlete started playing for “San Cristóbal de los Ángeles” and later joined Atlético de Madrid. Just two years later he moved to Real Madrid´s junior team and at 17 he won his first league title and went on to score 9 goals.

In 1996, the number 7 for Real Madrid played with the Spanish Team for the first time.

In 1999, he married the model Mamen Sanz with whom he now has a family.

 

IKER CASILLAS

Iker casillas Fernández was born in Móstoles (Madrid) on May 20th 1981.

He is the goalkeeper for both Real Madrid and Spanish Team.

He has been named one of the best goalkeepers of Spain and in the history of Real Madrid.

He is considered one of the best in the world.

 

BLANCA FERNÁNDEZ OCHOA

 

Blanca Fernández Ochoa was born in Madrid, on April 22nd 1963. She was the 6th of eight children. Practically all of them are professional skiers.

At the age of 11 she won the Castilla Championship and joined the Ski Federation in Viella.

In 1985, she achieved her first victory in the World Cup in Vail´s giant slalom, and third place in Marburg, culminating in a great performance in the Calgary Olimpic Games of 1988.

She won the bronze medal in the Méribel Olympic Games in 1992 shortly before retiring.

She retired to her hometown of Cercedilla where she has a street named after her. She currently manages her businesses, including a sports shop.

 

GERVASIO DEFERR

He is a gymnast.

 He was born on November 7th 1980, the son of Argentinian emmigrants. He stood out in the World championships in Laussanne, Switzerland in 1997 and he played well in World Cup in Tiajin. In 1992, he joined CAR of San Cugat del Vallés.

The seven hours of daily training forced him to abandon his studies, aged 17.

He won the gold medal in Sydney and also in Athens in 2004.

 

ALBERTO HERREROS

The veteran Real Madrid basketball player was born in Madrid on April 20th 1969. He began playing relatively late, aged 17, at Madrid’s Menesianos Club. He later joined C.N. Canoe Junior at Fuencarral, and after that, Estudiantes, where he stayed for 8 seasons, making his debut in the ACB league aged 20. After this he left the student club to join the rival team: Real Madrid.

He has played internationally on more than 150 occasions and, aged 21, made his debut with the Selección Nacional Absoluta in an official match in Seattle.

He’s been an ‘All Star’ player six times and has been nominated for different awards on numerous occasions: as the best Spanish player of ACB, Eurocup’s MVP, the season’s MVP, etc.

With regard to his personal life, Alberto Herreros married Mercedes Remeseiro in July of 1992. They have two children.
